Description

Nestled at the entrance to the Allier Gorges, this charming 19th-century stone house has been restored into a bed and breakfast and/or self-catering cottage, as you prefer. A large, enclosed, wooded garden ensures peace and relaxation for stays with family or friends, which you can enjoy year-round thanks to the 250 days of sunshine we enjoy annually in the southern Auvergne region! You can take advantage of whitewater sports, visit remarkable sites, and discover local and Moroccan cuisine. When one thinks of the Allier Gorges, the ancestral home of the Marquis de Lafayette, one cannot help but think first of water, of the Allier River, the true "backbone" of the region. Nevertheless, it is the richness and, above all, the diversity of the landscapes that ultimately distinguish the region: steep gorges, granite or basalt plateaus, fertile plains, vast forests… enough to leave you speechless! La Chaise-Dieu, Brioude, this land of art and history, dotted with religious buildings, its classification among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France," its castles and fortresses, the Route of Curiosities, the tourist train through the Allier gorges, a winemaking tradition gradually being revived—all the festivals and events will allow you to appreciate this incredibly rich region. Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy: hiking, mountain biking, whitewater sports, fishing, horseback riding…
