Description

Majestically overlooking the Larzac plateau, the 30-meter-high Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux Tower was built in the 15th century by the Knights Hospitaller of St. John of Jerusalem next to the main building to protect it. It served as a fortified refuge for the inhabitants and as a granary for storing grain harvests, particularly the tithe. This gîte (self-catering accommodation) is located in a traditional Causses-style house on the GR 71 C long-distance hiking trail, on the Green Way 85, and along the Larzac Templar-Hospitaller Tour. Open year-round, it's ideal for hikers, cyclists, or families and groups of friends, offering a vast area for exploration for those who enjoy walking (hiking, trail running) or traveling on two wheels (mountain biking, road cycling, gravel biking, motorcycling). It sits at the foot of the historic Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux Tower. Self-catering booking with the option to order breakfasts, evening meals, and picnics as extras.
