In the Marais Poitevin, 30 minutes from La Rochelle, we welcome you to spacious rooms in a renovated barn, classified as a Gîtes de France 3-star (NN). Each room has a private bathroom. Family suites are available with two children's bedrooms: one with twin beds and the other with a 120x190cm bed. These children's rooms are adjacent to the double rooms. The large living room offers a pool table, foosball, board games, and extensive local information. Guests have access to a kitchenette equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, and stovetop. Babies are welcome: high chair, cot, and baby bath are available. The property overlooks a wooded, enclosed garden. For your leisure, we provide mountain bikes for exploring the greenway that starts right from the house and follows the Vendée River to Fontenay-le-Comte. You also have access to a barbecue and garden furniture around a covered saltwater swimming pool for your comfort. Our delicious breakfasts feature homemade jams and pastries, as well as local produce. The garden is entirely at your disposal and offers shady spots for picnics. There are numerous and varied restaurants nearby, ranging from crêperies to fine dining establishments. We are 7 km from the Renaissance town of Fontenay-le-Comte, 15 km from the medieval village of Vouvant and the Mervent Forest, 35 minutes from La Rochelle and Île de Ré, and 1 hour by motorway from Puy du Fou and Futuroscope. Our rooms: "Marais" Room: a very comfortable 25m² double room (160x200 bed) with a baby area. It includes a sitting area and desk. The décor reflects the colors of the Marais Poitevin. The room overlooks the garden. "Horizon" Room: a 16m² double room (140x190cm bed) with a desk area and armchairs. The room's decor and colors evoke the Atlantic coast and nearby islands. "In Times Past" Room: equipped with twin beds for children. Its pastel decor evokes childhood games. This room can be combined with either of the double rooms, with children sharing the parents' bathroom. "Old French Songs" Room: This room can accommodate a child or an adult (120x190cm bed). Antique furniture and warm colors have been chosen for this room, where you will find illustrations of the Old French Songs that lulled you to sleep as a child: "Meunier tu dors..." or "Il était une Bergère..." It overlooks the garden and can be combined with either of the double rooms, with the person sharing the bathroom.
