Château des Réaux Built at the end of the 15th century on an island, with moats where the water of the Loire flows, the Château is located on the historic route of the Valley of the Kings. Gédéon Tallemant des Réaux was its owner. Today, the charming residence welcomes its guests with elegance, proud to show them this cradle of seven centuries of history. The walls, clad in a checkerboard pattern of brick and stone, are an architectural testament to the early Italian-inspired Renaissance. The entrance pavilion, with its two machicolated towers, offers its many decorative assets; the beautifully furnished salons will attract attention. Luxurious rooms and suites are available. All rooms are decorated differently: The Ancient Room reveals us to the olden days when hunting was the main pastime of the nobility, and in the Royal Suite you will feel like Kings. And next to our old fireplaces from that era, you will forget the turmoil of the city while enjoying a glass of local wine, which will satisfy even the most demanding tastes. Several authentic working fireplaces allow you to feel the warmth of France. This atmosphere inspires artists to create new works; a dozen easels are hospitably offered in comfortable places to those who want to paint. Within the Castle there is a permanent exhibition "Women's and Men's Legs in the Art of the Beginning of the Third Millennium" 1. Magnificent gardens stretch across fifteen hectares with oak trees over 300 years old and other rare trees. 2. During walks or by renting a bicycle you will discover the most picturesque corners of the park. 3.
