The Gîte d'étape's primary purpose is to welcome hikers, pilgrims, cyclists, and slow-tourism enthusiasts in a spirit of simplicity and conviviality. The gîte is located in the lower Ossau Valley, in the commune of Sévignacq-Meyracq, nestled in a beautiful, unspoiled valley, guaranteeing absolute tranquility. It is a newly built log cabin, healthy and eco-friendly, creating a feeling of comfort, warmth, and well-being. The GR78, the foothills route leading to Santiago de Compostela, is just a few kilometers away. Jean Pierre Paroix, your host, is a chef, former restaurateur, and hotelier. Passionate about long-distance hiking, he has explored numerous trails in France and abroad and can offer advice.
