We welcome you year-round to our gîte in Saint Julien en Born, on the lakes route, 8 km from the unspoiled beaches of Contis, at the edge of the Landes forest and close to shops. Our accommodations are ideally located for exploring the Aquitaine coast, or for day trips to Bordeaux, the Arcachon Basin (the Dune du Pilat), or the Basque Country (Biarritz, Bayonne, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, etc.). The gîte is a one-bedroom apartment (40 m²) located on the upper floor of the house, available for weekly or weekend rental. It can accommodate 2-4 people. Guests have free access to the garden (garden furniture and deckchairs are provided) and the house's terrace, shaded by our four century-old plane trees, where outdoor games await (swings, trampoline, slide, rackets, etc.). Football, basketball, and pétanque courts are 50 m away. It includes: - A bedroom with a double bed (140cm) - A living room with a dining area/lounge (converts into a double bed) equipped with a TV and DVD player - A bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet - A fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. The price ranges from €250 to €650 per week depending on the season. If you are traveling with young children, we will gladly provide baby equipment (travel cot, changing table, high chair, and baby bath) free of charge. We can also provide our guests with bicycles, baby carriers, and trailers for transporting children, subject to availability. Wi-Fi access is available. The entire property (including furniture and bedding) was renovated for its opening in 2011. The house is located in the heart of the village of Saint Julien en Born on the Route des Lacs (15 km south of Mimizan and 25 km north of Moliets), very close to shops. Contis-Plage, a preserved resort on the Atlantic coast with its seemingly endless stretches of fine sand, is 8 km away and accessible by cycle path or free municipal shuttle (in season). The region will delight you with its scenery, tranquility, and numerous activities (hiking, cycling, swimming, surfing, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, golf, tennis, treetop adventure courses, and a cinema in Contis). Notre maison est idéalement située pour l'accueil des cyclistes en recherche d'une étape durant leur périple à vélo ou d'un hébergement autour duquel découvrir la région sur quelques jours. La piste cyclable sécurisée reliant Contis à Saint Julien en Born est à 100 m de la maison et permet de rejoindre directement la vélodyssée descendant toute la côte aquitaine. Possibilité d'entreposer les vélos pour la nuit dans notre abri à vélo. Commerces de proximité (épicerie, restaurant, marchand - réparateur de cycles, tabac-presse...etc) directement accessibles à pieds depuis la maison.
