The Neptune

Welcome to Le Neptune, charming bed and breakfast located in the picturesque and historic port village of Le Somail, on the Canal du Midi, 12 km from Narbonne and 30 km from the Mediterranean Sea. The house is a former 19th-century winemaker's house with many original features such as staircases, floor tiles, fireplaces, wardrobes, mirrors, and more. Enjoying breakfast on the south-facing terrace, surrounded by greenery and overlooking the canal, is a delight. All rooms are very quiet, spacious, and equipped with a private bathroom with toilet. Some rooms have two separate areas, ideal for families with children or two couples traveling together. Free bicycle storage is available in the building. Whatever your interests, Le Neptune is the perfect starting point for all your excursions: for sports enthusiasts, a bike tour, a boat trip, or a walk or horseback ride along the Canal du Midi (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). For epicureans: the region's endless beaches and renowned gastronomy, including its famous wines. If culture is more your style, a visit to the Templar castles in Cathar Country, such as Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, and Montségur, is a must. Roman and medieval cities like Narbonne, Béziers, and Carcassonne are also nearby and can be combined with a day of shopping. Shopping trips can also be made to Spain and Andorra. Or perhaps you'd prefer to search for the Cathar treasure, or even try to solve the mystery of Father Saunière in Rennes-le-Château?
