A small, single-story house in the courtyard of our old farmhouse, a former vineyard. The cottage was built in the 1960s to accommodate traveling grape harvesters. It includes a living/dining room with a fully equipped kitchenette for five people. There is a sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, cupboards, a television, a dining table with five chairs, a gas stove, a coffee maker, a microwave, a dishwasher, a sink, and cutlery and crockery for five. In the hallway, you will find a bookcase, and then a door opens onto bedroom 1 with a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, and two bedside tables. Returning to the hallway, the second door leads to bedroom 2 with three single beds, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a cupboard, and three bedside tables. The third door in the hallway leads to the shower room with a toilet, sink, shower, and a small window. The garden of the Mas is shared with us, a couple in their sixties who live in the Mas, and perhaps our children and grandchildren who sometimes come for holidays, as well as guests from our other holiday rental, a studio for two people. The garden is enclosed by a pretty pebble wall with a gate that closes at night, and you have a key to it. In the garden, you will find a 10m x 5m swimming pool, several tables and chairs for dining in the sun or shade of the trees, a barbecue, and a large barn with a ping-pong table, sun loungers, and a table and chairs. The Mas is on the D6572 departmental road, but the cottage is located behind the building and well sheltered from the noise of the road. It is one kilometer from the hamlet of Gallician with its bakery, its cooperative winery, its two cafés, and of course, its bullring. The Rhône-Sète canal passes through the hamlet, and for cyclists, there's a greenway that leads to Vauvert, then further on to Aigues-Mortes and the Via Rhôna. Next to the farmhouse, there's a small campsite (75 pitches) with a bakery, grocery store, bar, and children's play area. You can have breakfast there or order a pizza, if you like. There's a choice of beautiful sandy beaches. Le Grau-du-Roi is 30 minutes away, via the historic town of Aigues-Mortes. Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is also 30 minutes away, crossing the Rhône either via the Sylvereal bridge or by the ferry across the Camargue. Along the way, you'll also pass by the Pont de Gau bird sanctuary. The major Roman cities of Nîmes and Arles are both half an hour from Le Mas, Montpellier is 40 minutes away, with its museums, Roman remains and modern shopping centers.
