Gîte la Tarte qui Flette

In a typical old farmhouse between the Chartreuse Mountains and Lake Bourget, at an altitude of 400m, surrounded by meadows and forests with unobstructed views of the lake and mountains, you will be welcomed to this comfortable and cozy 63m² cottage. It comprises three rooms, fully renovated with eco-friendly materials: untreated wood, clay paint, stone... For your comfort, the amenities are modern. Each bedroom has a large bed and an en-suite bathroom (with a hydromassage shower). Baby equipment is available. Outside, you can enjoy a (huge!) triple swing with a slide, a football pitch, and an indoor swimming pool in the summer. You might even spot a deer, a fox, or a badger during your walks or in the garden! Speaking of the garden: You will have a private area to relax or have lunch. You'll likely encounter a cat or two (overweight but friendly), and a kind, sociable dog. On-site activities include hiking, mountain biking, via ferrata, snowshoeing (two pairs available for loan), sledding, and model aircraft flying. Nearby, you can enjoy paragliding, horseback riding (two equestrian centers), and swimming in a pool or one of the lakes (Lake Bourget or Lake Aiguebelette). For skiing: downhill skiing (Margériaz 45 min, Collet d'Allevard, Val Thorens, La Féclaz, for the closest resorts), cross-country skiing (La Féclaz 45 min), ski touring in the Chartreuse, Maurienne, Tarentaise, and Beaufortain mountain ranges... Nearby (travel times are calculated for car journeys, including a non-negotiable 5-minute drive on a gravel road): Shops: 10 min, Chambéry city center: 15 min, Le Phare and the exhibition center: 15 min, Aix-les-Bains: 30 min. Weekend (excluding holidays): €190. Dog lovers: The property is not fenced. We are surrounded by forest. There are cats and foals in the pastures. Given all these factors, please ensure you are not outside unsupervised. Chasing any animal species is prohibited. Barking unnecessarily or traumatizing the cats is also forbidden. The pool and upstairs area are reserved for humans. Please accompany your owner when they are away from the gîte. And for you humans: Your beds will be made upon your arrival. (Sheets provided at no extra charge) A basket of Savoyard products (at an additional cost) will allow you to prepare a fondue, raclette, or croziflette upon arrival... equipment and recipe provided! In the off-season, arrival days are flexible. Weekend stays outside of school holidays: €190. We will be happy to give you plenty of other useful information for your stay.
