Camping Le Lac du Lit du Roi is situated on the shores of a lake with a private beach and views of the mountains, including the Grand Colombier (a stage of the 2016 and 2017 Tour de France). The setting is magnificent and unforgettable. It's a countryside campsite, facing the mountains with its feet practically in the water. Everything you could wish for. Located in the Ain department, at the gateway to Savoie, the Bugey region offers plenty to make your holiday enjoyable. You will have the opportunity to practice many sports: - Hiking with numerous paths for all levels - Mountain biking with marked circuits - Road cycling with the ViaRhôna cycle path, which runs alongside the entire campsite, for safe family outings or for the more athletic, numerous routes (up to 120 km and 2380 m of elevation gain) and mountain passes such as the Col de la Biche, the Dent du Chat and of course the Grand Colombier, a stage of the 2016 Tour de France. A true paradise for cyclists. Mountain sports: climbing, via ferrata, and canyoning. Water sports: swimming, paddleboarding, and canoeing/kayaking. Fishing directly in the lake: pike and carp (permit required). But the region is also full of discoveries with remarkable sites to visit (waterfalls, lakes, gorges, viewpoints), picturesque villages, artisans who will show you their work, and of course, the vineyards and wine tastings that will hold some wonderful surprises. It's also close to cities like Aix-les-Bains, Annecy, and Chambéry. The campsite also allows you to relax by the pool or on the lake beach, where you can also swim. We can also rent you classic bicycles, electric bicycles, canoes, and paddleboards. You can also have a drink at the bar while admiring the scenery, enjoy a good meal, and, during peak season, take advantage of the evening entertainment. Le camping longé par la ViaRhôna, propose des emplacements camping avec un tarif spécial pour les cyclo-touristes et les randonneurs, ainsi qu'une nuit étape en mobile-home.
