A warm welcome awaits you at the home of ceramic artists who will be delighted to share their world with you. You will be welcomed into a characterful house, lovingly renovated with respect for its original style, materials, and environment: parquet floors, lime wash, terracotta tiles, solar water heater, etc., with thick walls that keep it cool in summer. The 80 m² cottage is located on the first floor, adjoining our home, and has a separate entrance. The terrace is perfect for enjoying breakfast in the sun and dinner while listening to the last of the cicadas. It is equipped with a barbecue for your evening grilling. At midday, a shaded area under the linden tree is reserved for you to have lunch, also with a barbecue. A hammock awaits you there to help you fully enjoy your stay – because that's what holidays are all about! The living room is bright and inviting. It opens onto the kitchen and the three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with a bathtub or shower room with a toilet. The village and its surroundings: The wine-growing village of St-Christol is located in the heart of unspoiled countryside, halfway between Nîmes and Montpellier, and not far from the medieval town of Sommières and its greenway! It's a village where Languedoc traditions are still very much alive, such as viticulture and bullfighting. But it's also looking to the future, with harmonious ecotourism, outdoor activities, an adventure park, arts and crafts, a microbrewery, as well as cultural and festive events (Viavino, etc.). Nature lovers will appreciate the lovely adventure park with its zipline course, and numerous mountain biking and hiking trails are marked in the surrounding area! The village boasts five independent winemakers and a renowned wine cooperative. Here you'll find quality AOP wines or varietal wines, lovingly crafted by passionate professionals. The Camargue bullfighting tradition (bouvine) is still practiced in the Petite Camargue. You'll encounter it during your walks in the countryside or through Camargue-style bull races and bullfighting events in the village (Abrivados, etc.) during the local festivals. The Viavino wine tourism center and the village associations regularly organize concerts, exhibitions, open-air film screenings, the Traversée festival, and all sorts of other events. We are at your disposal for any information before or during your stay. Don't hesitate to contact us; we'll give you a warm welcome.
