In the heart of the historic Fenêt district, this 3-star 18th-century gîte is located a 10-minute walk from Saumur town center (restaurants, shops, bars, attractions, etc.). The rental features bright, contemporary décor. On the ground floor: garage and laundry room with washing machine. On the first floor: living room (TV & DVD), dining room, kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher, etc.) opening onto a 30m² terrace. One bedroom with a double bed faces the troglodytic cellars; a second double bedroom has a traditional tufa stone fireplace. A charming terrace, sunny until late afternoon, offers a secluded spot for al fresco dining. Central heating, water, electricity, bed linen, and kitchen towels are provided. Tourist tax: €1 per person per night. Extras: cleaning €30, towels €5 per person. Transportation from the train station can be arranged by your host. The cottage is located next to the Loire riverbanks with its cycle path and numerous pedestrian walkways. Saumur boasts beautiful historical monuments built of tufa stone, including troglodyte dwellings, the Château, the world-renowned National Riding School, the Cadre Noir, famous wine houses, the Tank Museum, and many other monuments.
