Agly Green Way (Le Barcarès - Rivesaltes)

The Agly Green Way, which connects Le Barcarès to Rivesaltes, is an ideal route for a family outing. 

This safe cycle path offers a 14 km route along the Agly River, providing stunning views of the river on one side and orchards on the other. With its smooth, 5-meter-wide surface, the Green Way is suitable for all types of bicycles, from road bikes and mountain bikes to hybrid bikes. Rollerblades are also welcome. To plan your trip on the Agly Green Way, consult the area map to locate access points and facilities along the route. You'll find benches and tables where you can take a break and enjoy the scenery. 

If you plan to spend the day on the Green Way, you can also look for guesthouses, hotels, campsites, or bed and breakfasts nearby to rest and recharge. The Agly Green Way is also an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding area. You can reach Perpignan by taking the Vélittorale, a coastal cycle route that runs along the Mediterranean. 

This route will allow you to discover beautiful villages and enjoy the sea views. If you are interested in history, you can also visit the Rivesaltes Camp Memorial Museum, which recounts the history of the military camp that housed many prisoners. 

If you wish to extend your stay in the area, you can explore other nearby cycling routes. For example, you can follow the cycle path along the left bank of the Têt River to Sainte-Marie, passing through Bompass and Villelongue-de-la-Salanque. From there, you can return to Le Barcarès via the Vélittorale cycle path.
