PLM Jura Green Route: Lons-le-Saunier - Lake Chalain - Champagnole

Description
In the Jura department, the greenway follows the old Paris-Lyon-Marseille railway line and connects the prefecture and spa town of Lons-le-Saunier to Lake Chalain, a famous natural lake in the Jura and a popular tourist destination. The route initially overlooks the vineyards, then, after two tunnels and several engineering structures, joins the Revigny valley and continues along the Jura plateaus to Châtillon. At both ends of the route, various types of accommodation (hotels, campsites, bed and breakfasts, gîtes, and rentals) await you. The choice is yours: a semi-urban setting or a more rural setting in the countryside and plateaus, ideal for family holidays.
