Cycling along the Lot Valley

The greenway of the Lot valley, between Luzech and Cahors, offers a fascinating journey starting from the Great meander of the Lot In the village of Luzech, in the heart of the Lot department in southwestern France, this greenway follows part of the Lot Valley cycle route (V86). It is particularly well-suited to families and cycling enthusiasts, whether they prefer mountain biking, road cycling, or even e-biking (electric-assist bicycles). Free from motorized traffic, the greenway ensures safety and tranquility, with some sections shared on quiet roads.

This route, laid out on a former railway line, winds through varied landscapes, including the renowned vineyards of the "Cahors" appellation, offering exceptional views over the valley. The sections between Cels and Les Bories are distinguished by breathtaking panoramas. There is also a passage in front of the Antinéa leisure park. The Green Way Douelle-MercuèsMeanwhile, it allows cyclists to explore must-see places while enjoying a natural and peaceful setting.

For an even more enriching experience, the "Parnac meander loop"The 5,3 km route descends into the heart of the vineyards and follows the Lot river, before climbing back up the hillsides. This route, which gives pride of place to river and vineyard landscapes, constitutes one of the highlights of the journey.
