The Gâtinais-Beauce greenway, located in the department ofEssonne in Ile de France, offers a beautiful escape to the heart of the French Gâtinais Regional Natural ParkFirst section of a larger route intended to connect Milly-la-Forêt to Saint-EscobilleIt now stretches for approximately 7 km between Milly-la-forêt et Buts, following in places the old railway line of the outer suburban railways (CGB).

Ideal for a family outing, this greenway is appealing thanks to its accessibility and the diversity of its landscapes. The route alternates between forest and valleys, offering a gradual immersion in the Essonne valley thanks to a series of gentle curves, perfectly suited to traditional bikes as well as VAEIts compacted gravel surface makes it comfortable for cyclists, although rollerblading is not recommended.

Starting from Milly-la-Forêt, a town rich in heritage, the walk can begin near the roundabout on the D837. Don't miss the majestic 16th-century market hall. the chapel of Saint-Blaise-des-Simples decorated by JJean Cocteau, or the Cyclop, monumental work of Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalleaccessible via another cycle path.

Eventually, the greenway will connect Étampes, then Chalo-Saint-Marswhere she will connect to the Chalouette Green Way, already existing.
