Nestled between the agricultural landscapes and peaceful ponds of the Bresse region, the Greenway of the Jura Bresse It crosses the Jura department for 53 kilometers along a former railway line. This cycle path, largely accessible to e-bikes (electrically assisted bicycles), gradually connects Dole to Lons-le-Saunier, by offering a gentle and bucolic immersion in therural world of the Jura.

Ideal for a family getaway, this greenway unfolds its safe path through welcoming villages such as Chaussin, Gatey, Pleure, Chaumergy, Villevieux or even Courlans. By consulting the map of the Bresse Jurassienne Green Way, one discovers a route punctuated by ponds, wetlands and forests, but also exceptional natural sites such as the Girard Island reserve. Located at the confluence of the Doubs and the Loue rivers, this reserve is a prime birdwatching spot, prized by nature lovers.
