This shaded route winds through bucolic landscapes from Quimper, gently descending towards Pont-l'Abbé. The endpoint holds some delightful surprises with its picturesque harbor and peaceful surroundings. You can now start from Quimper city center, while in Pont-l'Abbé, the starting point is near the Cinéville cinema, close to a historic wash house and a recycling center.
By consulting the map of the greenway, you will see that it provides an excellent base for exploring the surroundings of the Pays Bigouden. This greenway connects in particular to the greenway of the old Birinik railway which allows you to push all the way to the sea, the Pointe de la Torche, St Guénolé, the Eckmulh lighthouse and the southern point of Cornwall. On the Quimper side, the route also allows you to continue towards Douarnenez, the sardine capital via another greenway from Guengat.
This trail is appealing for its authenticity in the section after Pluguffan: its sandy surface, forest setting, and low traffic make it a peaceful place, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, its basic layout requires appropriate equipment, especially for cyclists and other users of all-terrain scooters, and gravel bikes
