Greenway Seignosse ocean to Tosse

The Green Way linking Seignosse Océan to Tosse is an ideal route for a family bike ride. This cycle path crosses the magnificent Landes forest and offers superb scenery throughout. 

The Green Way begins in Seignosse Océan, near Penon Beach. You can easily reach this point using public transport, including the train which serves St-Vincent-de-Tyrosse station, located just 4 km from Tosse. Once you arrive in Seignosse Océan, you can rent bicycles from the Tourist Office and begin your adventure. The cycle path is well-maintained and offers a 2,5-meter-wide asphalt surface, allowing for easy and safe cycling for all levels. 

Signage is insufficient, so it is recommended to consult a map before setting off. You can view the map of the Seignosse Océan to Tosse Green Way on the Tourist Office website to familiarize yourself with the route. The Green Way is approximately 6 km long between Seignosse Océan and Seignosse Bourg. This section of the cycle path crosses the Landes forest, offering a unique experience in the heart of nature. You can admire the pine and cork oak trees while cycling. There are a few hills to climb, but nothing insurmountable, even for less experienced cyclists. 

Once you arrive in Seignosse Bourg, you can take a break and visit the village. Unfortunately, there are no signs to access the Green Way from the village, so it's best to ask for directions at the Tourist Office. 

If you wish to extend your stay, you will find several accommodation options in Seignosse Bourg, including gîtes, hotels, campsites and bed and breakfasts. 

The Green Way then continues towards Tosse, passing through urbanized areas. The path may occasionally become a simple track on the sidewalk and may be interrupted in places, but visibility is good and it's easy to rejoin the route. Once you arrive in Tosse, you can continue exploring the village by taking quiet streets. Accommodation options in Tosse include guesthouses, hotels, campsites, and bed and breakfasts.
