Greenway the miners' path (Carmaux - La Découverte - Albi)

The Miners' Green Way, linking Albi to Carmaux over 12.5 km, is a captivating route that immerses you in the mining history of the Tarn region. Starting north of Albi, this route follows a former railway line, offering a fascinating blend of industrial and natural landscapes. Along the way, you'll encounter some steep climbs and winding descents, notably leading to Cap'Découverte, a multi-activity leisure center where you can enjoy numerous facilities during the high season.

The recently renovated section of the Green Way between Cap'Découverte and Carmaux combines a smooth asphalt surface with gravel sections, particularly in wooded areas. While the initial sections are mostly sunny, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views and well-equipped rest areas. Accessible year-round, this trail offers an authentic immersion into the local mining heritage while providing an excellent opportunity for relaxation and exploration.
