
Winding through the valley of theAustreberthe, between Seine and Normandy bocage, the Duclair – Pavilly Green Way, Also called Claude Lemesle Way on the northern section, now offers a continuous route of nearly 13 kilometers in the heart of the department of the Seine-Maritime. Built on the former railway line Barentin–CaudebecThis safe cycle path now connects Duclair, Le Trait, Villers-Écalles, Barentin and Pavillycreating a true green thread between the Métropole Rouen Normandie and the Communauté de communes Caux-Austreberthe.
Very accessible, with little elevation gain, it invites both families and experienced cyclists to set off on their bikes or... VAE through a mosaic of landscapes blending nature, heritage, and industry. The asphalt surface ensures optimal comfort, while the three-meter width allows for smooth traffic flow, whether you are at bicycle, scooter or rollerblades.
Along the way, walkers discover the verdant Austreberthe valley, its preserved wetlands, its dovecotes, its flowery meadows and, further downstream, the banks of the Seine. Educational panels are placed along the route to raise awareness of local biodiversity among young and old alike. DuclairA picnic area pleasantly extends the walk, before continuing the journey on the major Seine cycle routeof which the greenway now constitutes a major link.
