Description

Along the Risle River around L'Aigle

La Risle Green WayThis very recent project invites visitors to discover a preserved territory in the heart of the...Ornein Normandy. 7,6 km long, it connects Saint-Sulpice-sur-Risle to the Croix Lamirault pond via L'Aigle, the central town of this sector of the Pays d'Ouche. This route, designed for families and lovers of soft mobility, alternates stabilized sand, wooden decking and floating walkways, offering a unique experience between forest, river and wetlands.

What distinguishes this cycle path from other routes is its close connection with the laugh, which we follow very closely, as well as its roots in a still very visible industrial history. The route allows us to reach the Bohin Factory, a key site of local metallurgical heritage, now a must-see museum. Further north, the walk around the Croix Lamirault pond makes for an ideal stop, while in the very center of L'Aigle, the three-hundred-year-old plane trees and the future cultural complex Risle-en-Scène enrich the walk.

Accessible both on foot and by Bikingclassic or VAEThe Green Way is ideal for both leisurely strolls and more athletic outings. Children will find it a safe place to walk, and hikers can enjoy a variety of landscapes. Before setting off, it is advisable to consult the map of the Risle Green Way in order to locate access points, parking areas and points of interest.

While it doesn't yet connect directly to major national routes, the Risle Green Way is part of the region's cycling master plan and foreshadows future connections. It thus contributes to strengthening local appeal by offering a new space for leisure, nature, and culture, conducive to encounters and shared discoveries.
