
In the Bas-Rhin, the greenway of the Bruche valley, called VéloBruche, unfolds its 38 kilometers between hall et Molsheim, Via SchirmeckThis unique route crosses a valley with two faces: firstly, of the type VosgesThe valley is narrow and forested, then gently opens up towards the Alsatian wine-growing foothills. It is this diversity that makes it so charming: in just a few pedal strokes, the landscape changes, offering in turn mountain hamlets, deep forests and vineyards bathed in light.

The villages passed through – Saales, Bourg-Bruche, Saulxures,St Blaise la Roche, Fouday, Rothau, La Claquette, La Broque, Schirmeck, Hersbach, Lutzelhouse, Urmatt, Mutzig – bear witness to a rich past marked by forestry and craftsmanship. The route is also punctuated by major sites: the Alsace-Moselle Memorial and the Struthof for history enthusiasts, the Oberlin Museum in Waldersbach for culture, not forgetting the farm inns which do honor to the Alsatian terroir.
The greenway is part of a larger network: it joins the Alsace cycle network and allows connections to the Vineyard Cycle Route or even to Strasbourg, thanks to the rail service which makes car-free excursions easy. For the more athletic, the Donon Pass and the field of fire are accessible from the main route.
