Starting from Evran, the route follows the Ille-et-Rance Canal, alternating between the right and left banks as far as Montreuil-sur-Ille. Along the way, you can stroll around the Hédé-Bazouges locks and through the towns of Trévérien, Saint-Domineuc, and Tinteniac. A lovely family outing in the Ille-et-Vilaine department.
While this Green Way officially begins in Dinard, the starting point is the walled city of Saint-Malo, a jewel of French maritime and historical heritage, its fortified town and port the cradle of some of the greatest navigators. From the Emerald Coast, the route heads south towards the Côtes-d'Armor region, all the way to Évran, passing another heritage site along the way: the charming medieval town of Dinan, well worth a visit. Accommodation options (hotels, campsites, bed and breakfasts, rentals, and gîtes) are available throughout the route.
