Greenway La Flèche - Durtal

A heritage greenway between Sarthe and Anjou

This greenway starts from La Flèche, the Loir Valley along the right bank towards Durtal and passing through Bazouges-Cré sur le Loir. It thus connects cities with a strong heritage of theAnjou and Sarthe whose main monuments you should take the time to admire.

This route offers an alternative to the historical route of the Loir Valley cycle route to connect Durtal and La Flèche by favouring a greenway, its safety and comfort and different landscapes.

The arrow becomes an important place for cycling tourism, at the crossroads of the Vélobuissonnière (South - North) and Vallée du Loir à Vélo (West - East) routesNumerous accommodations (hotels, campsites, bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, unusual accommodations, …) may constitute a step of these two routes or one place of stay with greenways radiating outwards: greenway La Flèche - Durtal, greenway La Flèche - Le Lude, greenway La Flèche - Baugé, and the latest addition the greenway La Flèche - La Suze sur Sarthe. Nearly 100 km of greenways to discover. 

The two access points to Durtal (via the greenway or the Loir Valley cycle route) also make it possible to consider a bucolic circuit of 20 to 30 km - rather than a round trip - through the countryside of the Sarthe and Maine-et-LoireThis territory of Pays de la Loire has particularly capitalized on the bicycle tourism with all of its infrastructure totally dedicated to leisure and travel.
