St Girons - Foix Green Way

Located in the Ariège department of the Midi-Pyrénées region, this greenway, at the foot of the Pyrenees, is built on a former railway line. Between Vernajoul and Saint-Girons, it offers a 42 km route. Its smooth, stabilized surface makes it ideal for running, horseback riding, walking, road cycling, and mountain biking. Points of interest along the way include Foix and its castle, Labouiche and its underground river, Combelongue and its abbey, Saint-Girons and its church and historic center, and Saint-Lizier and its cathedral.
