The Véloccitanie Castres - Revel greenway invites you to discover a region where nature and heritage blend harmoniously. This 31,8 km route crosses the Tarn department and connects two iconic towns: Castres and Revel. It is accessible to everyone, from families and e-bike enthusiasts to more experienced cyclists.

From the outset in Castres, the birthplace of Jean Jaurès, the route follows the Agout River, offering views of colorful houses on stilts, before descending into the fertile plains of the Lauragais. This region, nicknamed the land of plenty, is adorned with changing hues throughout the seasons: swaying wheat fields, golden sunflowers, and vibrant poppies.

Along the way, a stop in Sorèze is a must. This historic village is home to the majestic Abbey-School, a renowned center of learning now converted into a museum. A few pedal strokes further on, Revel, a 14th-century bastide town, welcomes you with its medieval market hall, its belfry, and its famous market.

For a refreshing break, nearby Lake Saint-Ferréol invites you to swim and discover the hydraulic engineering feats of Pierre-Paul Riquet. From Castres, you can connect to the Human Rights Greenway leading to Albi.
