The Vélodyssée: Green Route Arcachon - Biscarosse beach (EuroVelo 1)

After leaving Arcachon, this section of the Vélodyssée cycle route runs alongside the iconic Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe, stretching over 1 km² and composed of nearly 60 million m² of sand. With 1 million visitors a year, it's a must-see in the Gironde department. Back in the saddle after this stop, the route then enters the Landes department, leading to Biscarrosse Plage through the famous Landes forest.
