The greenway of the Tour du Bassin d'Arcachon by bike is an unforgettable experience to share with the family. 

This safe cycle path allows you to discover the magnificent landscapes of this region while enjoying an outdoor sporting activity. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cyclist, this 79,06 km loop offers options for all levels. 

Before setting off, consult the Green Way map to plan your route. You can choose to start your tour in Arcachon, at the Bélisaire pier, or at Cap Ferret. You also have the option of joining one of the 10 oyster-farming villages and ports along the route. These picturesque villages, such as La Teste-de-Buch, Gujan-Mestras, Biganos, Andernos-les-Bains, and Arès, offer pleasant stops to rest and discover the region's oyster farming culture. To fully enjoy your experience, you can choose to stay in a gîte, hotel, campsite, or bed and breakfast along the Green Way. These accommodations are ideally located to allow you to make comfortable stops throughout your journey. This way, you can rest and recharge before continuing your cycling adventure. 

By taking the greenway, you'll also have the opportunity to discover many protected natural areas. The Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park is an exceptional forested area stretching from the Arcachon Basin to the southern edge of the Landes de Gascogne. You can cycle through this magnificent pine forest and admire the beauty of the surrounding nature. Don't miss the Teich Bird Sanctuary, where you can observe numerous species of migratory birds. This 110-hectare reserve is home to up to 260 different species throughout the year. 

You can stroll along a 2,5 km or 6 km loop trail and take advantage of the observation huts to watch the birds in optimal conditions. The Domaine de Certes-et-Graveyron is another unique natural area you can discover during your cycling tour of the Arcachon Basin. This 530-hectare estate, owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral (Coastal Conservancy), offers a fascinating landscape where fresh and salt water meet.
