The route begins in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente, where the Île de la Fuie welcomes you with its four islets accessible by a footbridge. This place, steeped in history, offers a peaceful respite to observe the surrounding nature. The itinerary continues to Jarnac, the birthplace of François Mitterrand. A detour is a must to visit the museum dedicated to him or stroll along the Quai de l'Orangerie, lined with picturesque wine cellars.
