Description

The Upper Meurthe Green Way is a true haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a 9 km route through the picturesque Vosges landscapes surrounding the Saint-Dié-des-Vosges area. Built on a former railway line, it connects Saint-Léonard and Plainfaing, passing through the towns of Anould, Ban-sur-Meurthe, Clefcy, and Fraize. This multi-activity route allows you to safely enjoy hiking, cycling (road, mountain biking, hybrid biking), and skating (scootering, rollerblading, etc.). This cycle path is ideal for the whole family, allowing you to discover the beauty of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park in complete safety.
A key infrastructure for the region, the greenway has about ten access points from the RD 415.

To enhance your outing, various accommodation options are available nearby. Whether you prefer a cozy cottage, a comfortable hotel, a friendly campsite, or a welcoming bed and breakfast, you'll find plenty of choices to relax after a day of exploring.

By following the marked trail, you can immerse yourself in the cultural and historical riches of the region. Each stage allows you to discover a new facet of this unique territory.

To best prepare for your adventure, it is recommended that you consult the map of the Haute Meurthe greenway. This will allow you to plan your route and choose the stops that interest you most. Furthermore, the proximity of grocery stores in the villages you pass through ensures that you will have everything you need close at hand.

Around Saint-Dié, the region is continuously working to interconnect the three greenways (the Plaine Valley Greenway, the Abbey Trail Greenway), demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting sustainable travel. Take advantage of this opportunity to discover the wonders of the Vosges Mountains with your family while making an eco-friendly choice for our planet.
