Description
This greenway (the V6 Brittany) follows a towpath along the Aulne and Hyères valleys, reaching the Port of Carhaix over 75 km. It connects Châteaulin and the Crozon peninsula to Carhaix in the heart of Finistère and Brittany. It's a crossroads for many Breton greenways, including the V7 (Roscoff - Concarneau), as well as EuroVelo 1, the Vélodyssée (Roscoff - Hendaye), and the extension of the V6 towards Loudéac and Saint-Méen-le-Grand. The landscape is idyllic, shady, and very natural, with few villages along the way besides Châteauneuf-du-Faou. However, there are numerous locks and their associated houses. A superb cycling trip, a true slow tourism experience. A wonderful stay awaits in the rural accommodations of central Brittany.
